Well I'm Hot Blooded....

Searing Hot August Sun
Ok, so here's the thing.  At the beginning of the year, I thought that the ladybits were waking up and that I was not gonna be all menopausal anymore.

WRONG!!!

Never saw "Aunt Flo" again after January & the stupid ass Hot Flashes have returned with a vengeance! And it doesn't help that we're in the hottest part of the summer here in our region. And I can break into a full on hot flash at the drop of a hat.  Any exertion at all can & lately does bring it on.  Something as simple as fastening my necklace around my neck will result in me being suddenly covered in sweat & feel like smoke is coming out of my shirt.

Know what else sucks about it?  Hair drying.  Yeah.  Nothin like trying to blow dry your very much loved long, long (again finally) hair and then have the hot flash come on and now your scalp is sweating and you keep blowing the hot ass dryer air at it.  And by the time all is said and done, the hair didn't turn out cause the scalp won't stop sweating and now, fully drenched in sweat, feel like I need another damn shower!!!

Really?

EFF YOU cANCER! And EFF YOU hot ass August!

End Rant.

I can relate completely! I got some relief from my super hot flashes after about 10 years. I know you don't want to hear that. Sorry. But then they came back a year or so ago. I did try taking Zoloft because my Dr. said it might help. I think it did help some but then I started to have those weird forgetful moments and I freaked. Must have been the Zoloft because once I got off that I quit having them. I LOVE my blow dryer because it has a cool setting so I just put it under my shirt and blow away. Can't carry it with my though. That would look crazy. LOL

Yep! Love that cold setting on the dryer, but it doesn't do much to get the hair dry lol!!! :)

Sucks and blows. And speaking of blows, try aiming a fan at you while drying your hair.

Hi Eileen! Yeah, I need to try that. I used to have a clip fan that would clip on the sink counter. Need to get a new one. Thanks for the comment & the tip! :)

I hear you!

I have fans all over my house now. They are life savers.

And don't even get me started on the state of my hair these days...

Summer's soon over. Nice rant.

Yes it's the pits...trying to dry hair wile the scalp sweats. That happens to me..because it's like runway lights in our bathroom that causes the sweating. So I put a big fan (larger than the clip on) behind me that I turn on
when I'm getting the face and hair done. Works like a charm.

Yep, gonna need a fan in the bathroom. A big fan.
